LM2596 DC-DC Step-Down Converter Module with Display
The LM2596 DC-DC Step-Down Converter Module is an adjustable buck converter that produces a lower, adjustable output voltage from a higher input voltage. The output voltage is set using the onboard potentiometer, and an LCD display shows the current input or output voltage. Use the right-hand button on the board to switch the display between input and output voltage readings.
For reliable regulation, the input voltage should always be about 3V above the desired output voltage. The module is well suited to DIY electronics, breadboard prototypes, power supply projects, and general voltage step-down applications.
