Description
Using STMicroelectronics’ FlightSense™ technology, the sensor integrates a SPAD (Single Photon Avalanche Diode) array and an embedded microcontroller to deliver fast and precise ranging up to 2 meters. Its 940 nm infrared laser emitter is completely invisible to the human eye and compliant with Class 1 eye-safety standards, making it suitable for consumer and industrial applications.
The module performs well even under strong ambient light and includes optical cross-talk compensation, improving accuracy when used behind protective glass or enclosures. With its I²C interface and single power supply requirement, the VL53L0X is easy to integrate into Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontroller projects.
